Data-computing center of the Kiev National Taras Shevchenko University

The first Ukrainian data-computing center was established on the 12th of November 1956 at the Kiev National Taras Shevchenko University by order of the Ukrainian Minister of Higher Education. It was establish in 1945 on the basis of the electrical modeling laboratory of the mechanical-mathematical faculty established on the initiative of V.E. Dyachenko. This laboratory dealt with developing of electrical modeling methods to accomplish various tasks of mathematical physics and engineering.
